Social Media Manager, Paid & Organic
Treatspace is hiring a Social Media Manager to lead our social team and own both paid and organic social for our healthcare clients. This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll manage the social media team, rebuild an organic social program that needs a performance and quality reset, and take ownership of paid social campaigns that drive patient acquisition for independent medical practices nationwide.
You'll also serve as our internal expert on paid search. We currently work with an external vendor to manage Google Ads, and you'll be the person who holds that relationship to a higher standard: reviewing performance, challenging strategy, and identifying where we're leaving results on the table. Over time, there may be an opportunity to bring that capability in house, and you'd help shape how we build it.
This role suits someone who wants to own a channel end to end rather than specialize narrowly, and who is energized by taking something that isn't working and making it work.
What You'll Own
The Social Team
- Lead and develop the team’s organic social strategy across client accounts, ensuring content aligns with broader digital marketing goals
- Set standards for content quality, creative output, and publishing cadence across all client accounts
- Coach the team on platform best practices, performance analysis, and client communication
- Build the workflows and review processes that let the team scale without quality slipping
Organic Social Strategy
- Rebuild our organic social program: content strategy, post quality, engagement, and measurable performance
- Own content calendars, platform strategy, and community management standards across client accounts
- Define what good looks like for healthcare social content and hold the team to it
- Report on organic performance in terms clients actually care about, not vanity metrics
Paid Social
- Plan, launch, optimize, and report on paid social campaigns, primarily Meta and LinkedIn
- Build audience targeting, creative testing, and measurement frameworks suited to patient acquisition
- Manage boosting strategy so paid amplification of organic content is deliberate rather than reactive
- Own budget pacing and performance against client goals
- Stay current on emerging advertising platforms, healthcare marketing regulations, and evolving best practices
Paid Search Oversight
- Serve as our internal expert on Google Ads and the primary point of accountability for our paid search vendor
- Review campaign structure, performance, and spend efficiency across roughly 10 client accounts totaling $20,000+ in monthly ad spend and growing
- Push the vendor on strategy and identify performance gaps before clients do
- Help evaluate whether and how to bring paid search management in house
Client Strategy
- Serve as a strategic advisor to independent medical practices, translating performance into clear recommendations
- Present strategy, results, and optimization plans in client meetings
- Develop detailed performance analyses, competitor research, and actionable recommendations
- Partner with Customer Success and Digital Client Solutions leadership on integrated planning
Required Education + Experience:
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years managing social media for clients or brands, including hands-on paid social
- Demonstrated experience managing campaigns across Google Ads, Meta Ads, and other major paid media platforms
- Experience developing or overseeing organic social strategy and content calendars
- Experience leading or mentoring team members
- Strong organic social strategy background: content planning, quality standards, engagement growth
- Comfort with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and performance reporting
- Experience presenting campaign strategy and results to clients and senior stakeholders
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in our Pittsburgh office
Preferred:
- Google Ads certification or equivalent demonstrated depth
- Experience managing distributed or nearshore team members
- Healthcare or other regulated marketing experience
- Experience transitioning a marketing function from vendor to in house
- Comfort using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) in daily workflow
Is Treatspace right for you?
Our PracticeBeat platform serves independent medical practices nationwide. The work you do is visible, the decisions you make stick, and you're not waiting three levels up for approval to change something that isn't working.
You'd be inheriting a program that needs improvement, which is either the appealing part or the disqualifying part depending on the person. We're looking for the former.
Compensation and Perks
- Employer-paid Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage
- Health Reimbursement Account (HRA)
- Employer-paid Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance
- Employer-paid Life and AD&D Insurance
- 401(k) retirement plan
- Flexible PTO and company holidays
- Ongoing professional development
How to Apply
Submit your resume along with a short write-up (one page is plenty) describing a social or paid campaign you're proud of: what the challenge was, what you did, and what happened. Anonymize client names and figures as needed. We're more interested in how you think than in polished case study formatting.
